BRB

Ok it’s Friday, it’s been a long-ass week so let me begin by saying, I can play guitar. I took lessons, and while I haven’t retained enough knowledge to fill 16 bars, I can play when there’s a gun to my head, or a beautiful woman in the room in need of some serenading. So, by default I’m not one of those button-mashing, guitar hero cop-outs that brag about completing DragonForce’s “Through the fire and the flames” on expert with a bored look on their faces, and duct tape holding their thumbs against their palms(there is a reason that song is so freakin’ hard). I think the people that really need an applause, are kids like this, and like this (as well as their supportive parents). Those are the kids that deserve a million views on YouTube. Just like the original Fab Four, practicing real instruments gives you the skills to apply to other mediums, other compositions, and the discipline to excel in other areas of your life. The Missing Key

I couldn’t sleep last night. I couldn’t stop thinking about the notion of an inexhaustable well of creativity that all of us humans are born with, but that a lot of us let run dry out of neglect or indifference. Maybe it’s that they don’t run dry, so much as someone else in need of some “creativity juice” drills on an angle to access some more. they put their straw on an angle an “DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!!!” hahaha. I’ve been waiting to insert that SOMEWHERE. Good stuff.
Anyway, I was browsing around for good movies that are coming out, and I came across this one by the same director that did Hello. It looks absolutely charming. It’s called “The Missing Key” and it follows a young, aspiring pianist who just happens to have a gramophone for a head. (see: freaking awesome concept)
Check out a sneak preview here.
