Sweet mother of god. This is such a brilliantly executed piece of motion and sound design, I just had to share it. Plus, I’m a sucker for anything that has some turntable prowess in it. Check out their site for the credits and production stills.

That’s ALL I’m going to be hearing from 6pm until probably 6+ hours later. I’m so unbelievably excited.
My Good friend Joseph had been kind enough to invite me out for an amazing night of bone breaking beats and mind-blowing atmosphere as the Canadian DJ rising star “deadmau5” plays Thunderbird Arena tonight.
Of course, tomorrow is going to be a bit rough, but well worth it. Sometimes I get so caught up in work that I forget to have fun doing other things. Well, tonight I am going to cut a rug. In fact, I may just cut 2 rugs while I’m at it. Here are a couple deadmau5 videos. One for his nigh-legendary track “Ghosts & Stuff” and another one of him performing it live in Montreal earlier this year. (Also, because there is a chance I might hear it tonight, the video to the Crooker’s remix of Kid Cudi’s “Day & Nite” which is actually pretty good.) Videos after the jump.
WANT WANT WANT

Ok it’s Friday, it’s been a long-ass week so let me begin by saying, I can play guitar. I took lessons, and while I haven’t retained enough knowledge to fill 16 bars, I can play when there’s a gun to my head, or a beautiful woman in the room in need of some serenading. So, by default I’m not one of those button-mashing, guitar hero cop-outs that brag about completing DragonForce’s “Through the fire and the flames” on expert with a bored look on their faces, and duct tape holding their thumbs against their palms(there is a reason that song is so freakin’ hard). I think the people that really need an applause, are kids like this, and like this (as well as their supportive parents). Those are the kids that deserve a million views on YouTube. Just like the original Fab Four, practicing real instruments gives you the skills to apply to other mediums, other compositions, and the discipline to excel in other areas of your life. But I digress…
Laid-back will get you laid back
It would seem that my obsession with music videos is far from over. *WHEW!* I was worried for a bit there.
This week is insane for work, so you’ll have to excuse the multiple video posts. Rest assured there are good thing going on in my brain & I can’t wait to share them with all you. I also can’t wait to actually start writing a crit for these music videos.
For now, just freakin’ enjoi. It’s a holiday somewhere, celebrate that and smile. You’ve earned it.
