FRIDAY

From the look on Ice Cube’s face, you would think the heading was wrong.. but nope. As he said, “Today was a good day“. In celebration of that, and it being Friday (also a good chance for an Ice Cube reference), I decided to blog about that. Heck… why not? There is even a handy graph chart to illustrate why today was a good day here. The only think I didn’t like was the absence of hog. I mean, I love my hog. I loves it good. Especially… I said ESPECIALLY bacon. I could almost eat an entire pound of those heaven strips in one sitting and then watch South Park until I could move again. Of course while I lived at home, this would prompt my dad to go in to a tirade about how I was eating all the food in the house. This will come up again later.
Instead of all that, what I like to do now is; I make my own breakfast muffins. That’s right… muthafukin breakfast muffins.
No no no, these aren’t some hippie-friendly vegan-granola cop-outs on a real breakfast. just hear me out. You’ll need a muffin pan for this one, and one large, farm-fresh egg for each muffin you plan on making. For this example, I am going to use 6 eggs. Next I’ll list the ingredients… Read more »
HELL. YES.

Every now and then I treat myself to a new toy. This time, it was a new pen. I usually go through a moleskine notebook every 2 or 3 months, but this last one has been going for almost 4. I’m not sure what it is, but I really liked the smaller format, and the grid instead of the common horizontal lines.
But, I digress..
I was going to get my usual pen as the one I had was dying, but the helpful people at Opus pointed out a new product that i hadn’t seen before. It’s the Copic Multiliner SP series. They come in a variety of sizes, and even some European drafting weights that I had never seen before. Those freaky drafters operate in another world, I tell ya. Crazy bastards.
The best parts of these pens are that they come in a stainless steel casing, they’re refillable, and you can replace the tips as they wear out. It’s waterproof, and copic proof (which means you can outline/sketch your drawing, and then ink over it without fear of smudging or ruining your good coloring markers). It is smudge proof as well, not to mention that you can get them in 12 different colors. The 0.3 black pen cost me 11.00, but at the end of the day, I really saved possibly tens of pens being made needlessly, and saved myself money starting after the 3rd refill.
After using it for a couple weeks, I have to say that it’s my favorite pen by far. Getting an entire collection is at the top if my “if an unknown rich relative dies leaving me millions…”-list.

WANT.WANT.WANT

Sweet Jebus. I want this yesterday. If it’s still for sale when I get a studio, I found a new place for all my art supplies.
